PARA PUBLICACIÓN INMEDIATALa artista puertorriqueña Lilliam Nieves quien al momento se encuentra en las ultimas etapas para culminar su post-grado en nuevos medios en Transart Institute, programa adjunto de Donau-Universität Krems en Austria les invita a ser parte del la presentación de The Project… Delicious Experiments. En este trabajo, la artista explora los conceptos de la necesidad y el deseo de proyección según se percibe a través de los medios de comunicación.
Como parte de su investigación la artista ha tomado el rol de ratón de laboratorio al experimentar en si misma los efectos del ideal de la belleza y como estos discursos de consumo son consecuentemente asimilados en la conducta humana .
Nieves utiliza los nuevos medios para redimir la banalidad de los procesos socio-culturales que nos hace suspirar por el objeto deseado, nos atrapan en las estructuras de la conducta aprendida y nos llevan a aceptar sin medida el discurso ilusorio de la belleza.

The Puerto Rican artist Lilliam Nieves who at the moment is in the later stages to complete her Masters degree in New Media at Transart Institute, Donau-Universität Krems media program in Austria invite you to be part of the presentation of The Project … Delicious Experiments.
In this work, the artist explores the concepts of desire and the need for projection as perceived through the media. As part of this investigation, Nieves has taken the role of lab-rat to experiment on herself the ideal of beauty and how these discourses of consumption are consequently treated in the social behavior.
Nieves uses new media to redeem the banality of socio-cultural processes that makes us long for the desired object, how we get caught in the structures of learned behavior and how we accept the speech as an illusion of beauty.
