Fall Presentation 2008
After considering the way in which I wanted to present the artwork, I decided to go for an installation featuring wood as the raw material, photography and traditional woodcut. The image was meticulously chosen after a previous photo section in which the image was then manipulated to achieve a high contrasted representation of the photography. The image was then transferred into six pieces of wood to be mounted as a sole piece.Â
One side of the panels represent me as a queen of consumerism while the other is a representation of the many instances of why the represented woman considers herself to be a queen. In a way this will be a story about how i perceive consumerism in Puerto Rico and how it affect me or more precisely… define me.
